Our collaboration with OZA Tea began long before the birth of the Aruni project. It is rooted in a shared respect for Indonesian heritage and a deep commitment to ethical, locally grounded practices.
What first drew us to OZA was their unwavering mission to showcase the world-class quality of Indonesian tea. Tea, to us, is one of the most honest expressions of the nation’s culture—its history reaching back to when the Dutch East India Company (VOC) first introduced tea seeds to Java, laying the foundation for a rich and enduring tradition.
OZA’s dedication to supporting local growers and practicing responsible sourcing aligns seamlessly with Aruni’s own values.
In a beautiful parallel to our architectural approach of adaptive reuse—honoring the past while shaping the future—OZA elevates the essence of Indonesian tea through thoughtful blending. By incorporating indigenous dried fruits, herbs, and spices, they craft unique layers of aroma and flavor that celebrate the abundance of the archipelago.
